CALM AND CONNECTED - EPISODE 82
Hello! Guess what? I’m back! If you’re an avid listener, you’ll know I took a break from the podcast to focus on supporting on my own children while they were remote learning during the pandemic.
One thing I really missed doing last year was meeting face-to-face with my clients. I got myself vaccinated as soon as possible and in our first sessions back, we worked on processing which involves a simple exercise of 4 questions…
What are you happy to leave behind in quarantine and COVID life?
What do you want to bring with you from Coronavirus times?
Was there anything you learned about yourself during this difficult time?
Have you been inspired to do anything in the future?
Not only can you work on this with your kids, but you can think about these questions for yourself. I have certainly done so, and it has inspired me to create new resources for Coping Skills for Kids. I have a new course for professionals working with teens who have anxiety (link below). I have also created a ‘Reset Space’ which helps kids manage their emotions while at school as well as a sensory activity book which will both be available soon.
And remember, do not forget about yourself, take a few minutes for you and have a little fun!
